As of 4am Central Time, I am once again single
She called and told me while I was online apartment hunting, as we were planning on moving in together this spring/summer. I'm hoping she'll call back tomorrow and say she's changed her mind like she has a few times before, but a part of me is hoping she won't, that this is finally it. I'm just numb from playing this game with her for the past year, and maybe she's right, maybe it is better we stop. I don't deserve to be jerked around like this.

1. When did you hand over your autonomy to her?
Why are you allowing her to make major life's decisions for you? If you don't want to move in with her, then DON'T.

She seems to be a controlling person. My advice to you is to move along. Find someone who will allow you an equal role in your relationship. You aren't getting that right now.

4. What Maddy Said!
In spades!

Move on. I met my wife about 3 weeks after I started to feel that there may be no hope of finding somebody.

My advice, take some time to heal.

3. "Childlike" has its limits of attractiveness.
While it may sound harsh, I strongly recommend that people look for adults in a mate - a person mature enough to know their own inner compass and able to make commitments with confidence and integrity. It takes one to know one. If there was one major indicator of immaturity on my part in my first marriage, it was the notion that she "complimented me." (I repeated the error in my second marriage.) I now know that marriage is a partnership of two mature adults who know that they are complete in and of themselves. Marriage isn't about "completer sets." Too soon old and too late smart.
