A Bad Movie You Love! Fun For My 1200th Post!
What are some of the movies that you absolutely know are SOOOOO BAD, but you still love them?

For me, my guilty pleasure AWFUL movie is a sure-fire 1978 vomit-inducer called "Ice Castles"

The premise: The beautiful, but now blind, figure skater (Lynn Holley Johnson) comes back to compete with the help of her devoted boyfriend (Robbie Benson). She also has the support of her loving father (Tom Skeritt) and coach (Colleen Dewhurst). But, (get out your hankies and barf bags) nobody else knows that she's blind.

Biggest :puke: , :puke: and :puke: again moment is when the lovely girl, before her triumphant return to the ice, hugs her father and says "Thank you for being my daddy!", at which point we have to fight a nearly uncontrollable urge to run out and shoot ourselves.

The only redeeming feature of this movie is, IMHO, that the theme song is sung by Melissa Manchester.

This is probably one of the worst movies ever made. Tom Skeritt and the late, great Colleen Dewhurst were probably saying every prayer that they could remember that people would forget this movie as soon as the waves of nausea subsided. Still, for some inexplicable reason, whenever this movie is on, I STILL WATCH IT!

That's mine. What's YOURS? HMMMMM?

2. A 1980ish Joke For You, Maddy McCall!
Q. Why did the guy get Herpes in his eye?

A. He was "Lookin' for Love in All the Wrong Places"

Yes, I'm old enough to remember when Herpes was the big scare and aids (spelled Ayds) was a diet supplement!

But I love the Ed Wood movies, particularly " Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Glenn or Glenda."

4. Flash Gordon
The outrageous high-campery of it all. The sound-track is excellent, but the film itself it terrible - nonetheless I love it.

Oh and those pointless disaster films, within the first ten minutes you know exactly who will die; and there's always a split-up couple who argue over their children (reunited by the end).

Much worse and therefore much better. And you don't have to listen to the appalling Queen while watching it.

37. It Was originally Supposed to be hardcore,...
...but they released it as a spoof with lots of t&a.

About theonly thing I remember from it was the bad guy (Ithink his name was Whang) is the ruler of the planet porno. Early in the movie his anthem is sung by a chorus of naked girls and ended with the line "Without him planet porno would be oh so forlorno!"

5. Wha...who me?
Like bad movies?

Nah.

;-)

Aside from the obvious (Ed Wood, Something Weird video output, etc), for guilty pleasures, I love those cheesy Elvis Presley movies and the Beach Party films (not just the ones starring Frankie and Annette, but the Beach Party clones as well).

Maybe the most far fetched movie of all time. A ton of factual errors and plot holes (just how long was that plane traveling down the runway at the end) but still worth watching

10. Zardoz
:)

Who can resist a movie where this plays a starring role?

How can you not love quotes like:

"The gun is good. The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life, and poisons the earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the gun shoots death, and purifies the earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth and kill!"

And for all you Connery lovers in the house, you get to see him in a loincloth.

Such a horribly enjoyable movie that it makes me cringe.

Even the make-up is horrible, notice anything peculiar about this dudes moustache?

I love this movie :)

Arthur Frane or Zardoz as he was sometimes known was just a goofy bastard.

It's one of my favorite "bad" movies although I actually think it's a good movie. :-)

Great SF ideas anyway.
