Edited on Mon Feb-07-05 09:17 AM by Bertha Venation
desperately, and then were hesitant to tell your (distant) family about it, because you really feel you should be trying to help them out, 'cause they're broke, too?

Does this make any sense? I'm working but my brain is stewing on this because, god damnit, I am MADE of guilt and I'm trying to overcome it. I have to talk about things -- that's how I work them through.

So . . . ?

1. I've bought food and groceries
on my visa.
I'm probably still paying for them, and their interest, years later.

2. Guild is fun
I have bought things I do not need and really did not have the money to waste. I still have to watch it on books. I do not have the time to read all I wish to buy.

4. beating yourself up isnt productive
paying others way in life isnt your responsibility. and if you really really needed it, then do your best to pay off so you arent paying outrageous interest screwing yourself. if you could have held off til you had the cash, learn a lesson, and dont do it again. when i didnt have much money i hated the feeling of spending when i didnt need. i learned to not spend if i didnt need. now that i have money i dont spend when i dont need. i hardly ever spend money. there is something about lacking that causes the strong desire to spend. when sitting in abundance there isnt that need.

be at peace with it

otherwise take it back and get money back

5. I bought a laptop when I didn't have a job
That's a pretty big purchase - I don't regret it.
