"...except if you're Laura Bush!" - an exchange in class this morning

My Evolution class is easily my favorite class this semester in part because the professor is a die hard liberal. He's also friggin' hillarious. He wears Spongebob ties. He makes fun of conservatives (quote "they're a bunch of idiots"). Basically, he's a source of sanity in my otherwise conservative college.
So we were discussing human evolution today, and naturally, someone brought up how close, genetically, we resemble chimpanzees. What follows is an exchange in class:
Professor: "Even though we're something like 99.5 % identical at the genetic level with chimps, you don't want to mate with them."
Me: "...except if you're Laura Bush!"

Oh hillarity. The woman in the next row shot me a dirty look though.
