Cell Phone Advice.
I want to get a cell phone, but not sign a contract and not pay that much. I will be using the phone approximately 2 times per day fo a 3 minute call.

What's my best shot considering what I need. VERY MINIMAL. LOL!

1. Get a Tracfone. Pay as you go, no contracts, no monthly bills, etc.
I had one for the longest time, I liked it - it suited my purposes then.

7. I had nothing but trouble with Tracphone
Took forever to load in new minutes, and they often weren't credited. That was a few years ago - perhaps they've fixed things since then.

2. Prepaid.
Virgin, Tracfone, etc...add only the minutes you want to add.

3. If you are only going to use it 10 min or less/day
I would go for a prepaid plan, no bills, no contracts, just pay when you need more minutes. One thing to consider is whether you would use the phone for long distance calls. Most plans these days offer free long distance. If you make one or two 20 minute LD calls a month, it may be worth it to find a cheap plan even though you have to sign a contract.
