Self-employed...
not-so-much-employed...
other-employed...

And what are you up to today? Or any other comments you care to make...

8. 8-6 self employed
And I don't even close for lunch.

Fortunately my shop is in a large strip mall and I can get something to eat and bring it back usually in less than 5 minutes.

Love working for myself even if I am only making a fraction of what I was a few years ago.

The thousand dollar a month rent payment can be a killer, seems sometimes like I work a week or more just to pay the rent.

Saturdays are easy though. Only work from 9 till 3 or 4.

20. me, too
I work my own hours and do a lot of writing and phone calls from home. That way I can pick up the kid from school and have some flexibility. The way I see it is, you either have money or time. At this phase of my life, my husband is the 9-6er.

13. More like 7:15 to sometime after 5 (or 6).
I teach piano lessons before and after school, so I'm usually the first to arrive and the last to leave. (With the exception, of course, of our heroic maintenance men. I'm pretty sure they never actually leave.)

Never let anybody tell you that teachers don't have a long day. Even without the piano lessons, my day officially lasts longer than 8 hours.

two different capacities, weird hours. Mostly I work at home writing on my own schedule but I also do editorial work at the office til the wee hours on the two craziest days. I've been a night owl all my life so it works great for me. There's only one day a week I have to be in before noon!

39. Well, I'm trying to get closer to the "9" on the front end
but not having much success on an ongoing basis, as my quitting time always seems to end up being 11pm or so. I was pretty much stuck in about a noon/1pm -- 11/midnight schedule MWF last semester, because the equipment I was using in the lab wasn't available until late afternoon. It was 9am-11pm Tuesdays and Thursdays (work for money plus work on dissertation those days). Unfortunately, even though I can get the lab work underway much earlier this semester, I'm still having trouble getting on an earlier schedule overall (which will be necessary if I'm ever going to work out regularly again).

44. Flex timer
Usually that means flexing later and later into the day, with the occasional weekend. Best shift evah was three days and two nights, camping in an office and on the floor of a co-worker's nearby apartment. Second best was starting at 8 AM, working until 10 pm, needing to wait for another group to finish their work before I could finish mine, going out to a karaoke bar for a couple beers and some silliness, then going BACK TO WORK until 3:30 AM...

45. My workday starts at 4 am
I manage a wine and liquor department at a grocery store. I work Sundays. I'm off on Tuesday and Saturday which is why I'm on the computer now - it's my day off.

I like my hours - I get off work at 1 and have all afternoon and evening to myself. I go to bed around 9 and get up at 3:30 - having always been an early bird, I don't find it difficult. In fact, I like it. On my days off, I'm normally up by 6:30 or 7.

47. 1-11 PMer here.
Or 12-10, whatever I choose during weekdays. Every other weekend I work graveyard shift. PSG technologist looking to expand my horizons in other directions like having my own business. I'm tired of making $$ for corporations, even if the corporation is a so called "non-profit" hospital. I want something to show for all my years of hard work and up until now I don't.
