Ozzy solo material box set "Prince of Darkness" coming March 22nd

http://www.icemagazine.com/stories/215/osbourne.shtm

Disc 1 alone contains live versions of such chestnuts as "I Don’t Know," "Goodbye to Romance," "Flying High Again," "Bark at the Moon" and "Suicide Solution." Disc 2 offers more live classics ("Ultimate Sin" and "Never Know Why"), as well as a handful of rare demos, including "I Don’t Want to Change the World," "Mama, I’m Coming Home," "Desire," "Won’t Be Coming Home," "Bang Bang," "See You on the Other Side" and "Walk on Water."

The set list veers radically off the beaten path on Disc 3, the aptly titled Oddities and Duets. "For the most part, these tracks are rare," reports Greer. "I imagine most people didn’t know they existed." Included are collaborations with Primus ("N.I.B."), Motorhead ("I Ain’t No Nice Guy"), Therapy ("Iron Man"), Type O Negative ("Pictures of Matchstick Men"), Was (Not Was) ("Shake Your Head (Let’s Go to Bed)"), Gary Moore ("Led Clones"), Infectious Grooves ("Therapy") and Dweezil Zappa ("Stayin’ Alive"). A duet of "Born to Be Wild" with Miss Piggy should ensure that Disc 3 lives up to the first half of its name.

For Disc 4, bearing the title Under Covers, Ozzy went into the studio to lay down fresh versions of some personal favorites. These 10 newly recorded tracks are available for the first time. Greer describes the selections as "songs he loves and just wanted to give his touch to." Included are the Rolling Stones’ "Sympathy for the Devil," Mountain’s "Mississippi Queen" (with Leslie West on guitar), Mott the Hoople’s "All the Young Dudes" (with Ian Hunter sharing vocals), Buffalo Springfield’s "For What It’s Worth," the Beatles’ "In My Life" and King Crimson’s "21st Century Schizoid Man." Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains, Cardboard Vampyres) does six-string work on the lion’s share of these cuts. Closing out the set is Black Sabbath’s "Changes," on which Kelly Osbourne takes the mic with her dad.

Accompanying the gothic-themed box is a 60-page booklet, with notes and track-by-track from Ozzy and new and vintage photos of him and cohorts from various points in his reign.
