Be still, your South Side heart.

P.S. I just checked out "Squeeze This!" by Those Darn Accordions! from the Chicago Public Library. My tax dollars at work!

4. Well, the accordian was my first instrument.....
And the only instrument I've ever had lessons on.

Oops. There's another sure sign that I'm a Chicagoan. I ended a sentence with a preposition.

9. You are truly a Chicagoan
of a "certain age," as the French coyly put it.

3. Cool
But what is the sound of a digital accordian?

Looks from the link that you can play four simultaneous tracks...whoa.

5. Yeah, but
I've already seen a MIDI accordion, a dozen years ago. It was played in a band from Nova Scotia called Rawlins Cross. They had a highland bagpipe too.

Despite which, they were pretty boring.

(The occasion was the Knitting Factory Bagpipe Festival tour, a way for Michael Dorf to get sponsorship money from Dewar's.)

6. Man that looks cool
Maybe it's the geek in me. I haven't touched an accordian in 20 years but that looks like a lot of fun to play.
