Any 3 letter radio or TV stations in your area
Was talking to a friend the other day. He has a ham radio background and we were talking about the rare stations that still have only 3 letters in their call sign.

I think there are quite a few of those left but wasn't sure where.

Also even more interesting are the ones that defy the east and west of the Mississippi river rule. For those who don't know east starts with W and west starts with K.

But old stations can keep call signs that don't align. For instance in Oklahoma there is still WKY. But WKY TV when it was sold had to go to four letters starting with K.

1. We have two that I can think of - KJR and KVI
this is in Seattle. And I know Detroit still has WJR and Chicago still has WLS and WGN. And doesn't Philadelphia still have KDKA?

11. Cool Map
Thanks for posting that. Got to bookmark this one.

Looks like there are lots of three letter ones left.

And quite a few that violate the K and W rule.

I really am going to miss radio when it finally chokes under its corporate owners. Or maybe it already has.

13. WSB in Atlanta
Pretty much a crazy right wing station. They carry Hannity, Savage, and this idiot Bortz. They carried the Atlanta Braves for a long time, so that was pretty much the only time I listened. The only show they have worth anything is this guy Clark Howard. He is a great consumer advocate type. He is definitely worth listening to.

Kevin.
