Or anyone who knows how production of a drama series works?

My question is if "sides" have been produced and have even been posted around the web does that necessarily mean the episode they talk about is guarenteed production?

I ask this because there is buzz going around that a show is in line for cancellation after an anniversary show in April! When I posted this after reading it in a chat, someone said it couldn't be true because sides have already been posted on spoiler sites for episodes after the anniversary episode. Just wanted to know if this automatically negates what I read in the chat? I mean I know shows which have had whole episodes filmed which were never shown due to poor ratings.

Also could an episode that has already been written but not filmed be rewritten to work as a series finale?

Just curious. I want this show I am talking about to end, and to end a certain way, so if the anniversary episode is rewrtitten to be the last it would please me to no end. ;)
