Virginia Lawmakers Set To Outlaw Low-Riding Pants
<snip>

RICHMOND, Va. -- A Norfolk legislator says the droopy-drawers bill may be his legacy.

The Virginia House of Delegates has tentatively approved a bill to crack down on people who wear low-riding pants.

Freshman Norfolk Delegate Algie Howell Jr. introduced the bill at the urging of constituents who are offended by the exposed underwear.

Howell said, "That's why they're called undergarments. They're supposed to be worn under something else."

Delegates approved a measure that would allow police to assess a $50 fine on anyone who exposes their below-waist underpants in a "lewd or indecent manner."

Howell said that since he introduced it last month, he's been deluged with calls and e-mails about the issue, mostly positive.

Howell told The Virginian-Pilot that he kept hearing from customers in his barber shop that something needed to be done about young people who wear their pants around their knees, exposing their underwear.

That's almost as funny as the headlines back in the '60s about "joint efforts" being undertaken by the US and Mexico to curb the distribution of marijuana.

:-)

It's good to see that we're still focused on the important issues, like gay marriage and butt cracks.

Other than oppress children? Repuke family values at work; pretend to love the kids with your left hand, while you beat the living shit out of them with your right.
And don't forget: always call child abuse "tough love."

10. It's a dumbass law but....
..I think low-riders should not be allowed in schools. I pass a couple of bus stops on my way to work and some of these kids dress way to far out there. Personally I think School Uniforms are the way to go because it eliminates peer pressure when it comes to daily wardrobes.

12. THANK YOU YES!!!
Personally, I use to like Old Navy because I could find some stylish business casual clothes at a reasonable price especially for my double digit size.

Although Old Navy "claims" they provide various waist sizing for their pants & jeans, you rarely find normal waisted pants in the double digit size. Last time I went just to find a pair of jeans - EVERYTHING was either low rider or god-forbid "ultra-low" rider. Ironically the pants that were regular waisted only had single-digit sizes left.

You've all seen my ass and the last thing that butt needs is a pair of low or god forbid, ultra-low riders. Clothing manufacturers seem to think that they can create the same styles for all sizes and that's just fucked up. This is probably why I've alienated Old Navy and now have found quality clothes at my L.L Bean outlet where low-riders seem to be non-existant!

13. eddie bauer even
or a real jean material without the polyester. and without them looking dirty. went in to navy this winter and said, you have any regular jeans yet. lol lol.

my last jeans frayed and falling apart. christmas shopping, started with a little hole on butt pocket. each sitting down hole got bigger. walking thru mall hole was pretty big. good thing i am not shy, lol lol. finally settled on a pair of levi's, but still not the real jean material.

went to eddie bauer and willing to pain 50 bucks for a pair, which i hate, and they didnt have any

ah well, i have a pair that will last 5 years, by then maybe........

16. I won't wear low riders
As I said in my "I am a freak thread", I have narrow hips for my relatively larger waist. As a result, I have to get really small sizes so low riders don't fall off of me and I don't really like showing off my stomach because that is where the only excessive fat is on my body besides my breasts.
The msot recent pair of jeans I bought was Levi's. I bought them at J.C. Penny. When I was heavier, I bought St. John's Bay also at that store. I also bought Covington's from Sears.
