Favorite restaurant ever
Since there's already a thread about terrible eateries, I thought this copycat might actually serve a purpose. What are your favorite restaurants, DUers?

For me? Several places I've been have excellent food, but a little pizza place on Federal Hill in Providence, RI gets my vote--Caserta's Pizzeria, for their pepperoni pizza. Best pizza (and probably most satisfying meal) I have ever had.

3. my home away from home
actually, the food is only so-so, but the beer at goose island, here in chicago, is the best on the planet.

but for food, if you are looking for that over the top, spare no expense, very special meal- the place is campagnola, in evanston. they have a downstairs, that is italian-type bistro food, and a little cheaper.
but the upstairs, omg. these people love food, and are always looking for the very best that is out there. so they have things like cheeses from little, "boutique" cheese makers, fresh, organic produce and meats.
hubby and i celebrated our 20th anniversary there. they took great care of us, and every bite we put in our mouths was heaven.

4. My faves are
columbia Steak House, N. Limestone Street, Lexington, KY

Hobart's Pizza, Prestonsburg, KY

For me, food just doesn't get any better than it does at these two places. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Too bad I don't live in Kentucky any more.

7. Malay Satay rocks
Especially if you can get someone at your table to order the big crab. It's hilarious to watch someone try to eat it!

6. Ixcapuzalco
On Milwaukee west of Kedzie. Pricey, but amazing Mexican food. I like it better than Frontera Grill (have not been to Topolobompo).
