I finally got rid of ComCast!
WOOHOO!!

Well, I'm getting Dish Network and I paid the extra $10 a month so I can get my IFC channel back and now I can listen to Air America Radio at home!

:bounce:

Saturday morning is the big day!

1. Uh Oh
Do you think you can betray Comcast and just laugh it off? Good luck.

3. You know, my parents got rid of Comcast last week....
..and when they called Comcast to cancel the person from CC got all rude and ignorant in my parents face. When I heard that I definately decided to get rid of them!

2. you didn't like Comcast?
I love them, my internet is crazy fast, I still have some wishes about my cable but they are just little gripes. I thought about the dish until last spring we had a bad thunder storm and this girl from down the hall had to come into our apartment because her dish wasn't working and she didn't have a radio so didn't know what the hell was going on. Besides the dish high speed internet isn't that fast, and has slow upload times.

I hope you have fun with it though. I don't know what my friends would do without the IFC channel, I'm actually getting sick of watching it :)

4. But the thing is for me to have IFC I have to pay almost $90 a month
and I have DSL, not cable modem.

I'd rather just pay $39.99 and not only get my IFC back but have Sirius radio to boot

5. Feels good doesn't it?
I just unloaded my phone company and switched to a broadband phone service. Verizon thought they had a monopoly because they're the only phone service in my little town. I was paying almost $65 a month just for local phone service. Now I'll be paying $20 a month with unlimited calls to the US & Canada, voicemail, caller id, call-waiting caller id, call forwarding, 3-way calling, call forwarding, and enhanced 911 capability.

6. My comcast digital cable box died this morning
i called them up and told them and also mentioned that i need another analog box for my bedroom..."sorry ma'am, we've phased those out but for another $5.00 a month you can get a digital box. My cable bill is already $90 a month and i don't think i watch more than 5 or 6 channels.

I'm thinking that when i move in the next couple of months i may switch to dish.
