What do you think about a Singles group/forum on DU?

This has probably been suggested before, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I'm married, but I've noticed more than a few lonely, broken-hearted posters since coming to DU. I thought maybe some of them could hook up...

Sorry, that "Match-Maker" thing comes out in us married women from time to time...

Your suggestions were great! I'm still thinking that there could be a singles group WITHOUT discussion of sexual topics, though...I mean, obviously, it's a very relevant topic for singles, but there's a whole lot more to discuss than sex. Wouldn't it be possible to have a singles group that coexists WITH a ban on sex threads? I mean, if posters want to "go there" they can always take it somewhere else...

but another DUer suggested it to me, saying she met someone through that site. I haven't had as much luck thus far since most of the matches on the site seem to be more than 20 miles away from me, but you never know...

21. It's not a problem at all.

I have a car. I'd just prefer someone a bit more local. The last girl I was seriously involved with lived two towns away from me, so it didn't really help us that we were separated by such distance.

Of course, I'm married, though. If I were single, I might be a bit more bold!

I've always been very self-conscious, and pretty shy. I appear in very few of our photographs because in earlier years, I was the one taking them all, and in later years I've been avoiding the camera since putting on some extra pounds!

I got a digital camera for Christmas, though, so one of these days when I'm thinking about it AND I have makeup on, I'll have to do a self-portrait.
