Today's Cat-e-chism lesson.

Thou shalt not try to possesseth felines and houseplants, for surely it will end in woe as the feline will consumeth thy plants and/or createth a mess on thy rugs.

1. LOL...I love it!
That also applies to overly active children.

2. Ain't that the truth! Preach on!
:)

I've discovered that the secret is to live in a loft apartment like mine with 12 foot ceilings and exposed sprinkler pipes :). You can then hang the plants at a height that excludes kitty intervention.

It took me several months to realize this, but it works quite nicely :)

6. The same way I put them up. Get out the taller ladder.
My plan for the future is to put a little hook on the wall and have all the plants hung with twine and the twine run over the sprinkler pipe then to a pulley at the wall/ceiling junction. Then I can tie the twine off to the hook, and lower them as needed for watering :).

This will be a project come spring.

8. Very clever. You should probably use some sort of wire or chain.

Twine will wear out and the plants may fall.

10. True. I'll come up with something though. The twine I'd use is pretty
heavy hemp twine though. I doubt it would break without some serious effort :).

5. I grow oat grass for them
That gives them something to throw up so they won't get bored with just throwing up their food.

7. I have cats and house plants
Currently I have 3 cats and around 50 house plants. I grow grass for the kitties and they mostly eat the grass. Sometimes they like to snack on the plants, but not often.
