2. That's pretty cool.
It's interesting in that it looks like it started with a wire with a hook, but the hook unbent. The impressive part is that the crow recognized it had lost the hook and that it needed to be re-created.

I can see training a crow to use the hook, and training a crow to make a hook. But training the crow to recognize that it needs a new hook? I'm not sure that's trainable. I think that requires cognition?

7. I saw this video on the news a long time ago
and I think its worth noting here that scientists have never found another crow that can do anything like this. Evolution at work?
