2. I just hope the female lead in this one is better than the original...
That is the thing I hate about the original...I was practically begging the Martians to vaporize her...she was annoying as hell...

3. Still waiting on my UllaDubulla Remix of the musical
You do know about the musical version of War of the Worlds don't you? Well as cool as it was the Ulla Dubulla mix was better. But my copy got stolen with my car. Had to order a new one and no sign of it yet.

4. Speilberg will ruin it
The original was fabulous.

The only film in my childhood that gave me nightmares for years.

I saw it again a couple of years ago, and it still scared me, when those metal tenticale things with the big color eyes would zap someone.

Spielberg will make it cute.

5. I'm definitely interested
I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise's acting abilities, but he has not been in too many crappy movies.

6. They filmed some scenes in Naugatuck, CT
which is not too far from where I live.

I might see the movie. I am not a sci-fi buff.

7. "Independence Day Two", you mean?
The scene where Tom Cruise and co. come out at night and see aliens is EXACTLY like the scene where Will Smith and co. come out and see aliens. But Will Smith saw them in the daytime.

:(

I have high hopes too, Tom Cruise picks good projects (mostly).
Spielberg....eh. We'll see.

16. Well, wasn't Independence Day One
a cheap ripoff of the original War of the Worlds?

17. Yes, it was....
But I was being cheeky, LOL.

Since they've now done Independence Day, I see no reason to revisit the aliens coming to Earth theme for about 10 years.

14. It has potential
I wouldn't say I'm excited, but I'm curious. It has the potential to be really good. It also has the potential to be a stinkbomb.
