Bullshit waste of time today at school
It was a standardized test called the SEARCH test- trying to guage the home life of the student body. We took it in 7th grade- I remember, the results were "shocking" according to the news people- the 7th grade results showed that virtually everyone was having sex and doing meth. However, it was because everyone was screwing around and put funny answers in.

The test actually had questions like "Do you make an effort to make friends with people of different races?" and "How many times have you tried to kill yourself?"

My personal favorite, however, was "Have you even gotten together with a group of friends after school to fight with another group?"

Another hilarious part was the questions about beer and drugs. They asked about how many times you have done coke and marijuana and stuff, and then they had a line where you fill in about "Alawan", which is a FAKE drug they put on the test as the control question- if you put that in, they would assume you were screwing around and saying you were a drug addict. So now the running joke at school is that everyone does Alawan. I secretly have an alawan lab in my closet, if you want to score some, just ask me.

Sorry, I felt like rambling.

3. it was funny
after the test a kid walked up to me and was like "(my name), I think after school we should get in a group and fight with another group"

I laughed really hard at that.

I still laugh about Alawan. I'm giggling right now. It's so stupid!

Yeah, the seventh graders dicked around on that test and then it got in the news that "SHOCKER! 7TH GRADERS ADDICTED TO METH AND SEX!" and the reason is because 7TH GRADERS filled out the test! Duh- I'm sure every seventh grade boy would love to say he parties and has sex.

4. I did something like this when I was in school...
If you went by the test, I was such a hedonist. Alas, I was a bookish loaner who never did anything stronger than a double dose of advil. But it was fun screwing with the answers!

5. We took a similar test when I was in high school
and we had fun with the answers. :)

We had been told our answers were anonymous but a week or so after we took this test, we were called into the principal's office one at a time and interrogated about the answers we had given. Our parents were contacted. Fortunately, mine believed me when I said I was just kidding when I claimed to have done heroin and had group sex. But I had a couple friends who were grounded.

8. Bullshit that any such test, or anything
for that matter, is "anonymous" in junior high and high school! Even 25-20 years ago when I was in school, nothing like that was ever "anonymous." The schools are fucking liars!

10. Yes they are lying
but teens don't always realize that. I didn't. I was in high school more than 30 years ago but I can still remember how shocked I was when I realized that my answers on this survey weren't really anonymous.

There was that, and the one that's supposed to determine what your occupation will be when you grow up.

In my spare time, I like to:

A) repair small marine engines.
B) balance my parents check book.
C) help people.
D) pick up trash along side a highway.
E) other.
