Wow! There IS a difference between nonfat and whole milk
haha, I know there's a difference anyway but its never affected me till now. I don't like drinking plain milk. I'll eat it w/ cereal or in the form of other dairy products. I usually drink nonfat because I can't really tell the difference anyway. So today, I made some "creamy" sauce out of a mix that called for milk. I only had nonfat on hand and my sauce wasn't very creamy :(

1. Skim milk isn't milk IMO
It's blueish white water. I LOVE whole milk, but never buy it because it only lasts a few days before it spoils. I'm a 2%-er.

2. Have you tried soy milk for drinking?

It's worth a try. It's flavored and good for you.

7. Here's another one
Like you, I have milk on cereal, etc., but rarely in a glass. One day I found out ... very gradually ... that the milk had gone bad. Nothing tasted suspect when I would take a bite of the cereal, but it kept leaving an awful aftertaste. After several bites I began wondering what was wrong with the cereal, and well, this is where we get to the sad part. I had just gobbled down a bunch of sour milk and corn flakes. And that is the end of my sad story.

:hi:

5. Do you think you're fat?
"Because you're not. I just noticed you were drinking 2% milk. You could be drinking whole milk if you wanted to."

8. Skim milk quenches your thirst. Whole milk doesn't do that.
I grew up drinking skim milk. I would down a glass in literally 5 seconds. It still went down smooth.:)

10. It's all a matter of what you're accustomed to....
I gag on skim or no-fat milk - give me the whole milk variety, anything else tastes watery. Especially for cooking, there's a big difference... Half and half for coffee, it's the only thing that will do.

but then, I'm the butter queen of the world and I come by it honsetly (my grandfather was a dairyman).

Butterfat.... yummmm!!!

12. same hear, total dairy fanatic.
However, in this part of the world, there is a dairy chain called
Braum's. Ice cream store, hamburger stand and dairy grocery all rolled into one. THEY sell a fat free milk that actually tastes good. And it keeps because their stuff is so fresh. I have found that whole milk will keep longer than skim, and instead of buying a gallon jug, buy 2 of the 1/2 gallon size. for some reason, the milk will keep better.

But don't try to make me put anything less than half & half in my coffee; if I can't have good cream, then just give me tea.

must bake with real butter too. Accept no substitutes.

By-product of the dairy industry. Don't take my word, Google it.

Just a PSA from your friend, flvegan.
