1. The only part of that I understood was Illya Kuryakin
I take it this is a current show or something.

2. Yes, NCIS is actually on its second season on CBS
Like CSI for the Navy. And David McCallum is a regular, the pathologist Dr. Donald Mallard but everyone calls him Ducky (for obvious reasons). A fastidious knowledgeable renaissance man who can digress into interesting anecdotes and information when trying to explain a finding.

Thus, it was really funny, and I don't even know how many viewers caught it, when "Gibbs" - Mark Harmon who plays the leader of the team - made the connection to The Man from UNCLE. I could have sworn that Harmon was still chuckling, on camera, after that comment.

3. David McCallum's (Ducky) last major TV role
was forty years ago, as agent Ilya Kuryakin, partner to American James Bond'ish superspy Napoleon Solo, played by Robert Vaugn, on 'Man from U.N.C.L.E'.

It was an early '60's hit series, originally in black and white to show you how long ago it was.

4. Man from U.N.C.L.E. I know about
I don't watch TV these days (other than cartoon network and Daily Show). So I didn't knwo McCallum was working again. Always thought he was the better agent to Vaughn

On a tangent has anyone else seen Vaughn's commercials? Sad.
