1. voting from the heart
I'll be a temporary Red Sox fan only because my favorite team since 1961, the Twins, lost out to the Yankees. That painful experience just shows that baseball needs to start sharing the revenue so that all the talent doesn't tend to gravitate to just a few teams. I hope that spirit will be able to triumph over big bucks in the coming week.

2. I agree.................Yanks are the best team money can buy.
OK, OK the Sox have a few, too....but does the Yanks even have a farm team? Or is it the Steinbrenner Checking Accounts?

3. Yankee farm
Many of the best players were on Yankee farm teams.

I believe Soriano, Jeter, Posada, Williams, Pettite, and Rivera.

Not a bad core of Yankee farm hands. Oh, and Nick Johnson too.

Plus many of the players were acquired via trade of Yankee minor leaguers.

Give George credit. He puts the money on the field. Many owners put it in their pocket.

4. Yeah, they've got a good farm system.
The truth is that many of the imports struggle in NYC.

11. Yes, because Pedro and Manny are home grown, right?
Give this best team money can buy crap a rest. Red Sox are over $100 million in payroll, and if they had more revenue to spend, they'd do it.

15. That's an odd statement..
..coming from a fan of a team that bought the best hitter and pitcher in baseball from other teams. :)

14. As much as I hate to see my husband gloat again
I suspect the Yankees will win it, but I wish all the Red Sox fans the best of luck anyway.
