I hate cat threads on DU
Makes me wish I was home right now snuggling with one of these guys:

Anyone else miss their pets when they're at work and how did I become a pathetic cat lover?

2. She was a little too happy when she killed that bat
It was like I could sense a gleem of evil in her eyes and she sat there with a bloody bat hanging from her mouth.

Yet last night she got all snuggly with me when I brushed her hair. She refuses cat toys but could sit there and be brushed for hours!

4. Cats tend to have their one "thing" they like exclusively.
Mischief has expanding cat disease. He jumps up on the bed while me and mine are sleeping and proceeds to find a way to take up every possible square inch of space on the bed until both humans are hanging precariously over the edge.

Logan has a towel that kneads and drools over while making trilling noises (and if you watch him doing it, he will warn you to stop and if you continue, he will come over and bite you).

3. 40 years as a passionate cater down the tubes
when someone gave us a stray.

I think it's some sort of plot. By cats. To take over.

When we're pulling up the driveway after being out and see her in the window, my S.O. always says (in a falsetto voice) "I don't recall giving the servants this much time off" They own us.

19. You get your cat fixed by visiting friends?
No wonder you have no cats. Cats must hate you.

:silly:

6. Pathetic Cat Lover? Oh, That'll Happen
Same with puppy dogs too. Pet lovers! We are a distrubed bunch, ain't we?

BTW: I'll be in your neck of the woods on the 21st through the 23rd. I'm coming in early evening into Philly airport on the 21st. Any chance some of the south Philly or Delaware DU'ers could get together for a cocktail on one of those evenings?

And tell us where you're staying (Center City, Airport area, King of Prussia, wherever).

13. One aspect is if neighbors like cats.
One does but not in the house. Another (a Bushbot) does not so we keep Fritzi on a leash (a long one so he can have some fun anyway).

12. You just have to work at home and then they can help all the time.
Sit in front of the moniter, on your lap digging in claws because they love you sooooo much, on your shoulder being a parrot kitty so you can only type with 1 hand, etc. (I still can't figure out how to post pictures, it just doesn't work.)

17. What darlings!!!
I solved my problem of missing my dear cat, Tie Dye. A pic of her is my wallpaper on my phone.

When I feel stressed I look at my phone and it makes me smile.

21. Haven't had a cat in 1 1/2 years
We had nothing but cats when I was growing up, so when I moved out of state and away from my parents I lost out on the fuzzy goodness of their kitty. (The apartment complex I was in didn't allow pets. Bastards.)

Now the apartments I'm in allow pets, but the pet deposit is $400! It would've been $250 had I paid it when I moved in, but as soon as I signed the lease it went up by $150. I'm thinking about paying it anyway, though. In the meantime I have my friends' cats to spoil, and DU threads like this one. :)
