My mother came out of the holler.

My father is not her brother, he came from the whole other side of Kentucky.

She had 15 brothers and sisters and gasp... not one of them slept with or married one of their siblings.

To me, the word hillbillies is as much an insult as some of the words used to describe people of color and different sexual orientation.
