What have you listened to today?
Edited on Wed Feb-09-05 06:57 PM by mvd
Could be music, radio, or anything.

I've sampled some music not yet in my collection. Here are my takes:

Thumbs up!
----------
Postal Service (will buy)
Eisley (will buy)
Golden Republic (likely will buy)
Razorlight (likely will buy)
Girl Called Eddy (will buy)
The Thrills (ordered first album, which is wonderful! Second is also likely worth it.)
The new Jimmy Eat World album (big fan, so I'm not surprised I love it - I ordered)
Lee Ann Womack's latest (too bad she's a Repuke - I bought the album anyway.)
Brie Larson (likely will order)
Ellie Lawson (likely will order)
Ted Leo
Martha Wainwright

Ehhhh for now
-------------

Rachael Yamagata

Thumbs down
-----------

New 3 Doors Down album (boring with a capital B this time!)
Arcade Fire
The Killers
New Jennifer Lopez song (absolutely abysmal!)
Bright Eyes (though I like his anti-Bush song)
Charlotte Martin (there's only 1 Tori Amos)
J-Me

Also listened to sports radio.

8. Thumbs down on the Arcade Fire?
I think that's a great album - it might well turn out to be one of those growers for you. Of course, who has the money to shell out for albums you might like when there are so many you know you will like, I guess.
And bands like that shouldn't be liked by everybody, because if it was it would probably be a lot less interesting.

9. Admittedly, I've heard only samples from Funeral
But you're right, I have limited money and can only buy the ones I think I'd like.

they do have an earlier EP but it's not as good as Funeral...

i'd say, at least once, just listen to the album the whole way through...i'll even send it to you over AIM or MSN if you want to hear the whole thing...

it is an album i think everyone should hear at least once...

19. Well.. she's different
I like Rufus a lot and couldn't really tell if she's better from what I heard. She has a vulgar folk song called "BMFA," and the others were slightly caberet-like.

23. I got the new Thrills album...
I'm not really liking it very much, however. I saw them warm up for the Pixies and thought I would check out the cd. I think I'm going to sell it to the used cd guy.
