Rufus Wainwright is singing on Letterman

Is there any singer in the world that has a more annoying voice than Rufus? Damn, he grates on my nerves!

I got goosebumps when he sang tonight. But I guess that is why they make chocolate and vanilla.

Last time RW was Letterman, he had his mom there. I think he's a nice guy, I just don't like to hear him sing. I'd rather hear his dad do "Classical Gas" for the nine millionth time. :)

is my favorite in the family. But I really do like a lot of people that some think are "lousy" singers: Lou Reed, Dory Previn, Yoko Ono, Diamanda Galas, Joan Labarbara, Bob Dylan, Brian Eno, Marianne Faithful, Leonard Cohen, Charlotte Church. (I just put her in to be silly. I don't have any of her CDs but she seems like a nice young woman.)

I hate when recording technologies are used to make voices sound "better." I hate processed sound when used to prettify.

I like Lou Reed (kind of), and Bob Dylan, and Eno and Marianne Faithful, and Leonard Cohen, and Charlotte Church. The others I'm not familiar with. (except for Yoko, she sucks.)

And I don't like the processing technology you speak of either.
