Friends died tonight. Hug your kids

Two people I love died in a car crash tonight. A semi truck slid into them and killed them, something that was no fault of their own. They leave three underaged kids behind. No relatives live up here so I can only imagine they will have to leave their home, friends and all and go live with someone else.

This is so damned sad. Wear your seat belts, drive carefully and slowly. Don't try and pass like an idiot and be five minutes late. Hug your kids, live for your family. Three kids are orphaned in a minute and its all too sad.

5. thanks. In Alaska when something like this happens, the people

left usually have to leave and go to friends or relatives elsewhere. its too hard to stay unless you have everyone. this is so sad. Thank you.

My friend was just telling me about the opposite problem. She has an old friend whose one-year-old baby was killed in a car crash that injured her husband. She wasn't in the car. My friend is trying to persuade her to see a bereavement counselor. These children will need help, as well. None of these people's lives will ever be the same.;(

I know the feeling of losing people you love to car accidents and drunk drivers. It's heartbreaking and devestating. I'll say a prayer for you and your friends, but most especially their kids. :hug:

21. I'm so saddened by this.

It brings memories back to me of one of my dear friends who lost her mother in a car crash. We were sophomores in High School and she had 3 younger siblings at that time. Unfortunately, this girl had to become the 'mother' in the family as their dynamics had changed.
I feel for these 3 kids.
