I am on antibiotics for the sinus infection, high doses of anti-congestion medicine and painkillers. Off work till monday..I dont wish this on anyone

I had it last week, and it was NOT fun. My fever lasted 4 full days, and until it broke, I had no strength to fight off the congestion, cough, sore throat, etc.

3. I got it last Monday week, and am still trying to feel 'normal'

don't have the achiness or fever, but still have yucky sinus and coughing. Guess it will last awhile... I hope you feel better real soon! Get plenty of rest. :hi:

I was bragging on DU a few weeks ago because I hadn't had the flu in 24 years. Well, I am down with it now since Tuesday night. Sorry to hear about your plight. I don't know when I will be back at work.

5. I'm at the tail end of it

It was not pretty! I feel for you. For the chest congestion, get some Mucinex (ask your doctor first).<--just a little psa there!. The stuff is awesome! None of the prescription stuff that I took worked, but the Mucinex cleared up the congestion in 2 days. I'm on blood pressure meds, so I can't take decongestants, but the my doc ok'd the Mucinex.

day 2 and 3 couldnt even walk....let alone type.

7. Take care. I had the worst flu EVER in Nov.

I was fighting a possibly life-threatening MRSA staph infection at the same time. The antibiotics tore up my tummy and digestive tract and I became delirious from a 103 degree temperature. Sleep as much as possible and drink Gatorade. You're going to be tired for a while. It took me about a month to fully recover my strength.
