Incredible 'Blast from My Past' made available on prongs.org.

Click on 'Primental (Live 82)'.

That's me in the right channel doing the lead synth bit during this live instrumental track. I'm not sure if the track was somehow sped up (though the pitch sounds OK) or if we we're just out of our minds that night.

In any case, it's not a bad recording. The audience seemed to enjoy it.

I'm sorry. That doesn't make any sense. Could you please repeat that? I'm having some trouble hearing you.

8. Pre-WS.
WS ruined and split up the band at the time. This was from back when the band was still very hungry. Literally.

12. Did you play live with them often?
I saw Ministry at McGreevey's Pub in Glenview a couple of times the same day (all-age and drinking shows), right around WS or a bit after.

13. I played every show from the first ever gig....
...all the way throught the WS tour. But I don't recall playing at McGreevey's.

I did play at McGreevey's once during the Winter of '83 with a band called "The Jones Gang" which was made up of 3 members of Ministry and a couple of other people. The guitarist was the nephew of Chicago guitar legend Phil Upchurch. His name was Andre Upchurch. That was actually quite a good band, but we only played out about 10 times.

14. I used to live in Glenview and see lots of bands
at McGreeveys.

WNUR used to host underground and unknown and otherwise out-of-the-mainstream bands on Thursdays there in the front room off to the left when you walked in (They had three main rooms).

I met Al once in the studio in the city when his time ran over into ours. Seemed like a nice guy, actually, was pretty soft-spoken, thanked us for letting him stay an extra couple of hours, invited us to hang out if we wanted. I believe he was mixing down Every Day is Halloween. Must have been 1984 or so. Just him and a fairlight(?) computer if I remember correctly.

I also saw Ministry later on in the 90's here in Milwaukee at the Avalon.

9. Pretty cool stuff
I turned it up pretty loud here at work. I didn't know people used synths in the 80s.

11. Yeah. I'm not sure what inspired that cacophony.
Probably the urge to dance about and mass quantities of schnizz.
