DUer asks: "What next, dead babies and pitchforks?"
Sure, why not, I say.

But I'm still trying to figure out how the two are related.

Can you help?

A: Pitchfork

DB jokes were real big when I was in Jr High (late 60s, early 70s)

4. in the late 70s/early 80s
there was a fad for "dead baby" jokes that often ended in a punchline which involved using pitchforks to toss around the dead babies in question. Is this what you're referring to?

What's the difference between a dead baby and a felt tip marker?

You don't get second looks when you're writing with a felt tip marker!
