I got my first pair of glasses just before my 8th birthday. My Second Grade teacher made us sit in alphabetical order, which put me in the back row. when she noticed I was squinting to read the blackboard, she sent me to the school nurse for an eye exam. the nurse then sent a note home to my parents, suggesting that I get my eyes checked.

So I was the first kid in my class to get glasses. And then the teacher must have noticed other ids squinting, because there were eight or nine more kids wearing glasses when we came back after the Christmas break.

My eyes are really going downhill fast. I was 20/70 at the last check up. I can't read a bloody thing without readers.

I kept leaving them all over the house, so now I have a pair for the office, one in my purse and one in the kitchen. It sucks.
