Describe the tackiest bathroom you've seen in person
My great aunt and uncle had a huge, purple, heart-shaped tub in their main bathroom. All the faucets etc were gold.

They were elderly - the mind reels.

2. The one in my house, prior to renovation.
That new, huge 'outdoor' looking faux stone tile on the floor.
Black toilet.
Black pedestal sink.
Pink and black tile.
Unfinished rough wood trim, painted white.
No one horrible thing, but it had design elements from at least three different and conflicting basic ideas. Truly horrible.

4. Same basic story here
Hot pink paint, black and white tile. White fixtures. Paisley treatments on the doors and windows. OMFG the room was astounding.

3. Hmmm.
The only one that springs to mind was the mens bathroom at a nightclub complex in Sacramento CA.

In the Downtown Plaza a number of years ago, there was a group of nightclubs with a single entrance. One of the 'shared' bathrooms had this lovely feature: as you stood in front of the urinal taking care of business, a (recorded) womans voice came out of nowhere to make disparaging 'humorous' remarks regarding your, ah, equipment.

I always felt that it was a fairly tacky attempt at humor.

6. The one in my house before I remodeled it

Pink. Everywhere. HIGH GLOSS pink paint on all walls, including the ceiling (?), gray PLASTIC tiles covring the walls about halfway up, including the shower. Plastic tiles do not seal, so the walls around the tub were rotting out (didn't catch that during inspection). No vent fan, pink toilet, pink sink, pink bathtub. The only lighting was a florescent bar over the old metal medicine cabinet (that is hell on you first thing in the monring, combined with the high gloss pink paint). Cracked gray linoleum floor.

The ironic thing is that other than the bathtub wall, the place is pretty much immaculate and well-kept. Just BUTT UGLY. I've redone the whole thing. Heated floor under ceramic tile, ceramic tile bath area, white tub sink and toilet, vent fan, paint, beadboard wainscotting, new light fixtures, the works. I now LOVE my bathroom.

7. All mirrors
All the walls and the cabinets were mirrored. I did some of the cabinetry but not the mirros

I also some cabinets for a Saudi Prince that bought Arthur Godrey's mansion in Leesburg, VA. Gold fixtures and all black sink, oversize tub and then purple laminate cabinets.

8. when i lived in Houston my neighbor across the street
had a really tacky bathroom. It had this horrible foil wall paper and gold faucets. The sink and toilet were black. About a week after she had the wallpaper put up my husband and i went to a chinese food place up the street, i walk in and discovered they had just put up the same wall paper that was in my neighbors bathroom.

9. My sister bought a condo in the suburbs around 1980 and
it was previously owned by a swinging bachelor. The bathroom had gold FLOCKED wallpaper of couples in various sexual positions. The flocked wallpaper would be bad enough even without the subject matter, but that made it extra cheesy. I don't remember too much else about the bathroom, but surely that's enough.

Where do you even buy shit like that?
