Your computer has been shut down to prevent damage etc. and the following,

IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

and a bunch of code like

1. Probably a driver issue.
Check to make sure you have all the latest drivers for your hardware - the wireless card, video, audio, etc.

Blue Screen of Death!
Could be any number of things.

You can try pressing F8 on boot and choose Last Known Good.
It can mess some things up but it should get you back to the desktop

7. For drivers for the wireless card, go here:
http://www.linksys.com/download/

Select your card model # from the list, and operating system. Then click on "Downloads for this product" and download the driver. They will likely have installation instructions too.

I should ask, when did this start happening? After you installed something, or made some sort of change to the system? And does it only happen when you are doing certain things?

10. It started a about a month ago and comes up about every couple of weeks
I have no idea if an installation is at fault. I don't recall installing anything and try not to do anything other than set the computer back now and then when things get sticky. It does download updates from McAffee and I did not put in the Microsoft support package 2. That was a real disaster so I just used the system restore.

This thing has been oh so not worth it. When it works, its great but sometimes, its a pain. HP/AMD-Athlon, couple of years old.

8. oh, np... it's a linksys card, right?
plugs into the side of your laptop?

or does the laptop have built in wireless, and it's connectiong to a linksys router (thing that plugs into dls/cable modem)?

go to the website for the manufacturer of the wireless in your laptop, and click their support section. find the model and download drivers, run the installer, reboot

if you need any more help with any of those steps let me know; glad I can help!

9. I never fixed mine... it just went away eventually
And I tried a WHOLE LOTTA stuff... it only fixed itself after I stopped trying.

I suggest getting a new computer. A mac. Or else letting go of all expectations for your computer in the hopes that the magic computer gnomes will fix it for you. Worked for me!
