What is your normal body temp? What was your lowest and highest?

I have had a low grade fever for the last few days of 99-100F and have no idea why. When I mentioned that to an aquaintance at work, she said that that was her normal temperature so that I shouldn't worry about it. My regular body temperature, when I am not sick is 97.5-98.0. 98.6 turns out to be an average normal temperature for humans. What about you? Are you "normal" or is normal for you high or low?
Also, what range of temperatures have you had? My highest temperature was 105.8 when I had pneumonia at age 11. My lowest temperature that I took was 95.5 when I came in from extreme cold, although I suspect that it may have been lower when I couldn't get warm on my own after running in the cold rain in a skimpy outfit.

1. Normal?

I never heard that 98.6 is a normal "high." I do know your body temperature fluctuates, with the lowest while asleep. Your body lowers its temperature at night to prepare for sleep and starts to rise upon waking. Perhaps the person was referring to 98.6 is a normal daily high for a person.

As for low, I have a slow thyroid and my waking temperature is around 97.5.

3. You cannot give blood if your 'normal' body temp is higher than 'normal'

Some people have a constant type of sinus problem which elevates their temp and then they cannot give blood because their body temp is always a bit higher than what is 'supposed' to be the 'normal; body temp. I know, I have tried several times...but always...and turns out it is my sinus problems? Who knew?

Um...I take my temp a lot. Don't ask why. Ok, it's because DD and I play a game where I take her temp in her ear, so she doesn't cause a fuss at the dr.

7. I take a lot of temperatures.

There's a range, but most people tend to fall closer to 97-98 than above 98. I don't know what my low was, but my high was 105. I had a post-partum infection and I could feel pain before the fever hit and told my doctor. I had a c-section and the incision site was very painful even at 2 weeks. He just said it's normal and not a big deal. A few days later, I had a 105 fever. Thankfully, I got better and likely the high fever killed the ensuing sepsis my body probably had, but no one really seemed to care at the time what was going on with me- medically or personally. Ah, wonderful memories this evening. :(

mine is about 97, and when i try to tell that to medical "professionals" they just sorta give me the 'uh, ok, whatever you say' face.

9. Instead of 98.6°, mine is normally 96.8°

I think I've gone as high as 104°.

Low temp-well I've been accused of being cold as ice at times so maybe 28. ;-)
