Police Foil Valentine's Day Mass Suicide Pact Involving 32 People
"KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- A suicide pact that possibly involved 32 people from across the nation and Canada was allegedly set to occur in Klamath Falls on Valentine's Day.

Klamath County sheriff's deputies uncovered numerous e-mails soliciting others to take part in a mass suicide. Deputies went to the home of 26-year-old Gerald Krien Wednesday with search warrant in hand.

Lt. Rod Dailey said the solicitation allegedly involved one mother agreeing to murder her two children as part of the suicide pact.

Krien is alleged to have solicited over 30 people to partake in the mass suicide at his home on Feb. 14. Deputies arrested Krien Wednesday and seized his computer during a search of his house that resulted from a tip.

Krien was arrested on charges of solicitation to commit murder and is being held at the Klamath County Jail without bail pending a grand jury review of the case expected next week."

1. I used to live in Oregon
You get weird shit like that, especially in southern Oregon and particularly in KFalls, for some reason.

2. WTF?
I thought about it, but not because of this suicide pact thing. I hate Valentine's Day. Sorry, it's not a good holiday for me personally. It's just a little twist of the salt coated blade into old wounds that won't seem to heal.

3. They heal...eventually.
I don't even think about it. Valentine's day is just another day to me and I would rather not have to bother with a gift or whatever than to be stuck in a bullshit relationship. If you are in a really good relationship then the two of you don't bother with that stupid day anyway.
