No Valentine Flowers for Cherie, Says Blair
Scotsman

By Gavin Cordon, PA Whitehall Editor

Tony Blair tonight insisted he would not be presenting his wife Cherie with a Valentine’s Day bouquet – despite her public complaint that he never gave her flowers.

Last week Mrs Blair actually rang up Channel 4’s Richard and Judy show to air her grievance on live television.

But appearing on the programme today, the Prime Minister was adamant that he was not going to change the habits of a lifetime by sending her flowers on Valentine’s Day, which falls on Monday.

“I didn’t, I don’t and I won’t. But I will so something sufficiently romantic. There are other ways of being romantic,” he said.
