Looks to me like the approach itself was flawed and things just got worse from there.........

Crosswinds like that, one would think you would divert or at LEAST go around! Have to hand it to them for averting catastrophe though!

9. In a related story..

I'm making the maiden flight of my brand new RC plane today. I'm a bit tense.. Last time I flew a brand new plane I nose dived it strait into the ground at full throttle. I need some luck today.
