Some animals perform homosexual acts, but in the absence of attractive opposities
I have never heard of true homosexuality occuring outside of people. I think they are trying to make sure that this is what it is.

It was in the original article. Now they are trying to actually TIP the balance in favor of persuading them to the opposite gender, after these birds, which are usually monogamous after pairing, have already found their mates. To me... it seems incredibly cruel.

The former marketing student in me says that they should embrace the penguin's fab gayness and market them! "Come! See the Gay Penguins!™" I can see it now...in German of course.
