Write the number of passes on a piece of paper.

2. It didn't work on me

I am familiar with this study though so I may have been preloaded to spot the 800 pound problem.

3. I don't understand.

I watched it the first time, counted the ball passes, ignored the black clothed people and was aware of the gorilla outfit guy.

Was I not supposed to notice him ? I've never seen anything like this test thing before. What's the deal ?

at ALL until I watched it the second time.

7. Its a test of the way the mind percieves things

Studies have shown that people focused on a task won't notice things they would normally be immediately drawn to. The original of this test was performed on students taking exams. A person in a gorilla costume would walk into the room and wander around for a bit and leave. The teacher would then ask if anyone noticed anything unusual during the exam.

By focusing on the white clothed folks, the gorilla becomes invisible. You are one of the few who were able to spot it.

I saw the gorilla suit and counted 14 passes. (Although I realize that counting was NOT the object of the exercise)
