how do i change the time on my computer

1. Double click on the time in the bottom right corner of your screen

A window should then pop up to let you change it. I have 2:08 but that could be a few minutes off.

Every once in a while, both my and my partner's clocks will somehow end up being exactly three hours slow or three hours fast, but always by exactly three hours.

WTF could cause that?!??

6. Might need a new watch battery on your motherboard.

If you open your PC you'll se a little watch battery in there. How old is your PC?

7. Does your computer get its time from a networked computer?

Mine does and I imagine if both of yours do that would be the problem. The other computer is wrong and yours are showing their error. Not sure if you can do that on Windows but my OS 9 box gets the time from Apple.

8. Yeah that makes more sense if both PC's are off by the same amount

2. double-click it

and then adjust the clock as desired. It's not really obvious how to do that once the clock is open; click a digit on the timer to the right and then the up/down arrows to adjust that digit (all this assumes Windows XP).

If you're on a Mac, the process may be similar; I have no idea.
