DU Techies I need some help re: Windows Media Player

Whenever I try to play any song clip on CDNOW I keep getting this error that says:

C00D11BB: Cannot play the file
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is
either not supported by the Player or not supported by the server. If you
typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport
protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").

I can play other stuff just not clips, or vids that are streaming from the net.

1. If not cuz WMP blows try a dif prog cuz Microsoft does :)

2. Try upgrading to the latest version

That's what I do when this kind of thing happens, and it usually works fine.

I just went to CDNOW and had no trouble listening with Media Player 9.

Media Player seems to be vulnerable to all kinds of corruption and trojans. Unfortunately, I've tried a lot of the alternatives and have not been thrilled with them either. And RealPlayer is, in my opinion, the worst offender of all.
