Two things that do NOT belong at a major art exhibit.....
1.) Ringing Cell Phones
2.) Crying Babies

Unfortunately at the very crowded member preview of the Salvador Dali Exhibition I ran into both.

:grr:

1. Dali himself probably would have been pleased.
Cell phones and crying babies. Surreal, man.

7. Would have had to be a ringing lobster for Dali to appreciate it, though.

5. I don't mind either
It's the asshats who TALK ON THE DAMNED PHONES RIGHT IN THE EXHIBIT that make me crazy.

Was loving a Maxfield Parrish exhibit at the Phila Acad of Fine Arts, and some jackass starts brokering a freaking deal on the phone. Doesn't have the courtesy to go outside or into the lobby. Nope - does it as he walks around an looks at the pictures. I told him to shut up, but he ignored me. GRRR.

People are absent minded about their phones, and as long as they scoot outside with it, I don't get upset. And I have too many friends who can't find sitter to get too mad at people with the crying babies - mostly I just feel sorry for the parents.

How was the Dali exhibit? We're lucky to have it here in Phila - it's the only US stop.

8. How was it otherwise?
Dali is one of my favorite artists.

9. Nor at Movies or Classy Restaurants
I'm sorry if parents feel the need to carry babies to movies/restaurants, but either they need to save up for a baby sitter, find some good friends to barter baby sitting, or get take out. I don't go to movies or nicer restaurants often and sel, so when I go, I'd like it to be cellphone and baby free. I'm paying for experience as much as content or food. :bounce:

10. That would be aggravating.
The museum in St. Pete is very nice, pretty quiet as well.
