1. When I am angered by some plan, I write to shrub, my Sen, my Rep
and manytimes, some other congress people who have closely aligned themselves to the project.

Do I think it matters? MO! Unless my email is accompanied by thousands of others. THEN, it matters.

8. I write to my Senators, sadly now just to one Senator
I'm in Louisiana, and my Congresscritter is a waste of oxygen, but I wrote pretty often to Mary Landrieu and John Breaux. They don't agree with me on every issue or anything but it was worth putting in my two cents. There is no point writing to David Vitter, he is just a prettier face on what David Duke or George Bush stands for.

I back up my emails with physical letters with stamps. It is frustrating since the anthrax attack on many Democrats, because it takes so long for them to get their mail. I know Landrieu had a scare. Yet she really doesn't seem to see all her email. I rarely make phone calls because I am not a person good on the phone, and I feel this does put me at a disadvantage in getting my thoughts across.

I have tried to get good at summarizing my thoughts on a postcard that is clearly not a container for any deadly biologicals. It's a shame we have to worry about this just to communicate with our own representatives.

3. I hit no but as soon as I did
I remembered that I did send him a courteous note on a couple of occasions not to do evil things that he went ahead and did. He didn't answer them, nor did his staff.

Waste of time.

4. I used to send him emails but then I figure the more I send, the
likelier it is that I'll end up on the no fly list or something like that!

10. well
I've written a good many letters over the years to various gov't officials and I'm a frequent flyer. I mean don't get all stalker-ish but I think you can write a reasonable number of letters.

I don't think emails really count, they know how easy it is to send an email. I think you could probably send an email every month and be OK if you wanted.

5. Probably not a good idea
If I were to be honest about my feelings for the idiot and his policies, the Secret Service or the Dept. of Homeland Security would probably be knocking at my door.

6. "our president"?
If you're referring to the fraud in the White House, he's NOT my president.

9. He Has Stated
He doesn't read any mail.
Before I heard him say that, I wrote a few years ago and SOMEONE wrote back a sarcastic letter. A Viet Nam Vet volunteer of mine wrote once and he received a threatening letter.

Why bother? I think it's against our Constitutional Rights now, anyway. I THINK.
