Anybody seen "MILLION DOLLAR BABY"?
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 09:38 PM by liberalpragmatist
Just saw it. All I can say is WOW.

That's the only way to describe this movie. I knew it was "really good" and "about boxing" when I went to see it, but damn. It just hits you in the gut. I'm just recovering.

See it. It's amazing.

Anybody else agree?

2. I saw it yesterday
I liked the movie right away, but its been gnawing on me all day today. I think it goes way deeper than you first realize.

I want to see it again to piece some things together and see if my suspicions about the ending are corrrect.

acted, but I, too, have some questions about exactly what happened to Frankie in the end. Does anyone agree that he took his life as well because he could no longer live with the rejection of his daughter and live with the guilt that the priest talked about? He had reached the top also because he had his winner in Maggie. So why live longer?

My husband is the weepy one at movies. Our first movie together was Mask in 85. He was shedding tears. I think I finished falling in love with him then.
