she'll be ok, but she has to stay in longer than expected

this happens from time to time.

but i hate that we have to spend our first V Day apart

5. I'm so sorry to hear that,

that does, indeed, suck. However, you still have her and you have each other, and that's the important thing. A lot of us are single and unattached and will be feeling quite lonely and alone on Monday, so be glad you have each other. And if this is, as you say, a recurring health problem, she's very lucky to have you there for her when she's in the hospital.

I remember being alone when I had my hysterectomy a couple of years ago, and the complications, and that was very depressing. Especially since the woman next to me had her fiance with her constantly. So try to be there with her as much as you can, and to try and call her when you can't actually be there.

6. i've been there

this is the first time in 5 years i've been in a good fuctioning relationship on valentine's day

i'll have to drop something off to her, since she's barred from visitor's for a few days. have to decide what to send, though...

7. Be sure to call her several times

during the day, too, even if you can only leave messages, so she'll at least have that and she'll know you're thinking of her.
