Yikes, I didn't think it was that long until posting this!

Our roadsigns (speed limits) changed in 1978 while I was in Florida.

I had a big old 62 Lincoln suicide door and "pegged" the truckers speed, cuz I figure most of them had radar, or at least radios to tell each other where smokey was - so if I saw a truck catching up behind me, I sped up and paced him from in front - so I could usually "safely" travel around 70 - 80 mph.

Imagine my delight at crossing our border to Canada and GREAT big signs read 100!!

A wee bit on the "buzzed" side from a 20 hr non-stop trip other than for gas, I put the pedal to the metal, and shortly realized I was Zooming past everyone!

I approached another sign, THEN saw the km/hr (kilometers/hour) - which 100km/hr translates to 62 mph -
