What is your favorite weather?
I love fog and heavy rain. There is a sort of mysterious feeling that comes off a street filled with a thick fog. It may be hell to drive in, but I'm a pedestrian anyway.

Et vous?

16. I consider all weather in north Texas that's good enough to sit in front
of the chiminea GOOD weather.

I think next month might be like that. (I hope.)

With the double back doors wide open and pinon blazing away, a glass of wine, my dog at my feet, my wife noodling on her computer just inside, and Art Bell on the radio. Life just does not get any better.

33. Is it just me or isn't there a great feeling...
when the first cold front hits, there is a crispness to the air and the air smells great. Arlington was a great place to be when the first cold front hits in the fall. I loved it.

37. I think that we are so grateful for the summer heat and more to the point.
...humidity to be finally gone, we (at least me) love the weather here in the fall.

I still contend, nothing better than North Texas in the fall.

and I love a good, deep fresh, white snow (before it gets all :puke: from cars and freeze-thaw cycles)--- as long as I don't have to drive in it or shovel it. I don't mind walking the dog in it -- she loved to bound in the snow -- that goofy "dog in the snow" hop.

My wife hates the snow - she chipped a vertebra on a fall in the snow and really messed up her back and hip.

6. About 90 degrees with humidity at the same level.
No lie. When there's enough moisture in the air that you can almost drink it, and the temperature is so high that everyone else is practically dying, I'm completely comfortable and happy. I don't care if it's sunny or overcast, as long as it's hot & humid.

I like a soft steady rain too, as long as it's warm....

11. Oh man...I was talking to my 73 year old MOM about this tonight...
I live in KC.

We are hot in the summer, and then we have varied weather the rest of the year.

Snow, blinding thunderstorms, raging tornado's.

That kind of crap.

MY FAVORITE WEATHER?

OK, I'm weird, but I defy any romantic female snuggly to reject this.

NINE degrees.

I have to have a window cracked at all times for fresh air.

1:00 am.

My king size water bed, heater temperature on 80.

THREE comforters, buried under all that warmth like a tick.

Warm and snuggly.
But you better not have a weak bladder.
Because, you ARE NOT going to want to get out of that comforting, womb like, cradle of warmth, in the middle of the night to pee.

If you can hang, it's happening.

I have yet to sleep with the woman, who isn't her own little miniature furnace, even though she may not realize it.

You may say your cold, but your throwing out more heat, than the average man can handle.

That's one of the many reasons, why we like you so much.

But, there's also nothing like the muffled hush of blanketed snow right after it's stopped snowing (especially at night) and it's around 30 degrees....very peaceful.

I loved the snow when I was a kid! All the enjoyment is sucked out of it when you have a job to get to, a car you have to drive to it in, and a house you have to dig out. Sometimes I think I'll get back my appreciation when I'm retired.

edited for spelling

29. I was going to say exactly the same thing!
"Peter's Friend" (filmed in England countryside) was on cable today, and there was this wonderful scene in the morning, with one of the characters wandering in the morning fog, mulling things over. I saw it, and went "AH!" It might look gloomy to others, but the fog makes me smile, and I snuggle safely in it's "cover" like a favorite old sweater.

36. Moi aussi --- I'm a LOW THERMAL...
I love any weather with the temperature below 65 degrees. Moisture, snow, sleet, wind are all great. The clouds are my friends.

I get very ticked off when someone accuses me of having "hot flashes" because I've been this way since I was a child. My parents used to ship me out of Florida to western North Carolina to sleep-over camps in the mountains. Once I went to a Girl Scout camp in Miami and I ended up running away. Also, my father took me out of a camp run by two lesbian women in South Carolina. (This was in the late 1940's.) I was eight years old, I was very homesick and I'm sure I didn't know the meaning of the word "homosexual".

38. Autumn...love the crisp air and oh those colours!
and at night, when there's a light snowfall...everything is light grey and white, and even the sky doesn't get too dark. Or sunset in winter, when the sky is populated with beautiful pastel shades.

Rain storms...the power of nature. The more thunder and lightning, the better.

It's rare to get fog here, but it does create a certain mood, doesn't it?

Oooh, and I must mention the winters, on the off chance that we'll see the Northern Lights. We had a spectacular display late last year.

Geez, maybe I should just reverse the queston and say at the extreme ends of the spectrum, like the 35C and the -35C, are what I truly dislike. Anything else...hey, I'll just enjoy each day as Mother Nature sees fit. :-)

51. Autumn weather ..
bright sunshiney days and crisp nights. I DO love a heavy rainstorm with lots of lightning zig zagging across the sky, LOUD thunder. Waking to the fresh scent in the morning after a heavy rain is awesome. The best night of my life was spent in a cottage on the bluffs near Mendocino CA, Thanksgiving weekend to be exact. It stormed violently, thunder rolled lightning lit up the sky and the ocean crashed against the rocks ... Heaven on earth that night ..
