I used my electric pressure washer for the first time today and
I'm in love. :loveya:

My brick patio in the backyard looks great (it was quite dirty, believe me).
My front porch and front steps look great now too.

These little contraptions are the BEST! Even a goofy person like me managed to use it without trouble.

Got it at Costco last year and it sat in its box unopened for several months--what was I thinking!? Now I'm trying to figure out more stuff to pressure wash!

1. Costco rocks on so many levels.
I wish they had one near me.

4. We have two Costcos in our area...
I wish I could ship you one. We also enjoyed shopping in the Publix Markets in central and the west coast of Florida, where we vacationed Jan. 30 - Feb. 11. They had arugula (rocket) -- a flavorful salad herb -- in big packages. Also, they sold us little cubes of cheddar cheese which were great with the beer on our turbulent flight from Cincinnati to Portland. Delta only charges $4.00 a can for Miller Lite and Amstel Lite.

10. I like Publix.
I was raised in SoFla.

I hope you had a good time in Fla.

6. They make a "Heavy Duty Degreaser" detergent.

.
Here's a link to the cleaners that are pre-mixed and ready to use with the pressure washer:

http://www.karcher-usa.com/agents.php

The "Heavy Duty Degreaser" formula says:

"Formulated to remove most stubborn oil, grease or smoke stains. Excellent for use on engines, barbecue grills, filters, driveways, lawn/garden/farm equipment (mowers, tillers, tractors) and garden tools."

3. Was it expensive?
What brand? Do you hook it to a hose? Or does it have a reservoir? Will it heat the water? Do you add detergent? Can you adjust the degree of pressure so it is low enough to wash, say, a car, or a boat?

Details, we need details!!!!

(Of course, more details may result in a greater degree of "pressure washer envy")

5. It's a "Karcher" brand.
They carry them at "Lowe's" home stores too.

Mine was purchased at Costco for just over $100.

I didn't use detergent this time, just water--but it does have resevoir--I've been looking at Karcher's website and I can buy premixed liquid detergent at Lowe's that I can use (for deck/patio cleaning or siding or a specific mix for concrete cleaning). Or I could use my own detergent mix too.

I did have to attach my regular garden hose to it.

It came with 2 nice attachments, but I think I might buy a soft brush for it for car washing (only 9.99 at Lowe's).

Yes, you can adjust the pressure from low to high on the wand itself--and on the low setting it is safe to wash a car or boat.

7. I love my Simoniz pressure-washer...
I bought it to de-mud my 4x4, but ended up using it for everything from washing 2nd story windows to, yes, getting grease off the driveway (and zapping that crabgrass that pops up between the concrete seams!).
