New group idea: Automobile enthusiasts group
Edited on Sun Feb-13-05 12:20 PM by Fighting Irish
The purpose of the Automobile Enthusiasts Group is for members to discuss automobiles, driving, maintenance and modifications. Everyone is invited to discuss cars in general, ask questions, seek help, and provide advice and answers.

The first ten donors giving the thumbs up on this group may get the chance to see it happen. So whad'ya think?

And if anyone has a better suggestion for a name or mission statement, post it here.

5. Think the timing on that one may have been
hurt by the Gannon story breaking.

17. I agree,
otherwise, I'm sure there'd have been much more interest. I really would like some information on detailing because the stuff on the internet is so...well, detailed!

8. Oooh. I'd join that one.
I drove a Hemi Orange '73 Cuda for a couple years -- until I needed a reliable car and couldn't afford to own 2 cars. I'd love to talk with other enthusiasts.

10. Right here
First muscle car (in high school) - '62 Chevy w/Holley double pumpers, Keith Black balanced/blueprinted small block, etc.

Last old-time muscle car (early 90's) - '65 Vette coupe - 396/425 w/side pipes, teak wheel, real knock-offs (trust me - one came off while driving!), etc.

Current -'04 Audi A6 2.7T Turbo.

Oh, I am definitely in... :)

15. Looks like you almost have enough support
but you still need a mission statement...

Something similar to what Book Lover stated in the GD thread...

"a group to discuss all facets of automobiles in our daily lives: modded vehicles, how to live car-free, make and model discussion, best racetracks, car care, etc."

Otherwise it sounds like a great idea! :hi:

Didn't even know it had been suggested a few days earlier.

Well, I'm off to ATA.
