My dog and I want to thank the following DUers re: advice yesterday

Yesterday (Saturday morning) I posted that my dog Lucy was vomiting, had diarrhea and couldn't hold down food or water. Due to my strapped financial situation, I was going to wait it out because I thought it was just a virus. But several DUers were adamant that I get to the vet right away - so I did, and it turned out she was dangerously dehydrated and has colitis. It could have just as easily been pancreatitis, which would have required hospitalization.

She's OK now. He gave her meds and had me fast her for 24 hours. Lucy wants me to post a big hug to iconoclastic cat, pedraig18, xchrom, hlthe2b, onthemark, trof, jamastiene, nikia and thtwudbeme.

DUers truly are wonderful. Thank you. :grouphug:

A not-too-important P.S. - it cost me $353. I had $360 left from my tax refund. How about that?

5. Thank you for being such a good friend to Lucy!

I have been there, spending every last penny I had to help a furry friend. I got hit with a sudden and unplanned influx of 3 dogs, two of them pregnant. I then had a total of 6! I was eating mac & cheese for a couple of months during that experience. Was it worth it?




Sure it was, just ask my friend "hairy Larry" the dog!
