1. Hmmm...
Have to say I prefer the Luftwaffe's peacetime colours to the rather dull paintjobs the USAF and USN give their planes (not to mentio that the Tornado is a damned good-looking aircraft anyway).

4. Several of the planes show silhouettes of...
... what appears to be an F-86, an F-104 and the Tornado. I wonder if this indicates the pilots have flown all three?

Pretty wild stuff.

6. I checked the squadron's homepage...
it would appear that they flew the F-84 and the F-104 before switching to the Tornado in the mid-'80's.

Meine Augen! :) Those are some seriously impressive paint jobs... neat! Oh, and pimpen is a great verb... almost as great as 'gedownloadet', my favorite german englishism.
